Dear CLLC membership,
I just want to extend a letter of thanks to all of you who were able to attend the 2nd Annual Legislation and Libations event which we held at the Castle Rock Mill House, the evening of 9/29/22.
We had a wonderful turnout of over 50 attendees and 14 politicians! It was really a joy for our board to see such a great connection between the attendees and the legislators “at the table.” In fact, such great conversations were happening that I could barely hear, and that’s a good thing! I’m so proud to see the CLLC making waves. Showing up in force yesterday reminded every legislator in the room that we are the experts to talk with whenever a bill comes to the table, which could impact small landlords. I’m also pleased to report that we had attendees from all over the state, some of whom drove over 4 hours to join us; it is so important that this organization continues to have voices at the table from every corner of Colorado.
I would also like to recognize all of the legislators and legislative candidates who attended our event:
Senator Dennis Hisey (R-Colorado Springs)
Senator Larry Liston (R-Colorado Springs)
Tom Kim (R- Senate candidate, SD 27)
Rep. Naquetta Ricks (D-Aurora)
Rep. Dan Woog (R-Erie)
Rose Pugliese (R-House candidate, HD 14)
Dave Donelson (R-House candidate, HD 16)
Jaylen Mosqueira, (R-House candidate, HD 38)
Don Wilson (R-House candidate, HD 20)
Brandi Bradley (R-House candidate, HD 39)
Rachel Stovall (R-House candidate, HD 17)
Savannah Wolfson (R-House candidate, HD 26)
Anthony Hartsook (R-House candidate, HD 44)
Shana Black (R-House candidate, HD 18)
Our board will now be focusing on gearing up for the 2023 legislative session, so please stay tuned.
Thank you again for your time, contributions, and dedication to our mission:
The mission of the Colorado Landlord Legislative Coalition (CLLC) is to empower Landlords and Property Managers from all over Colorado. The CLLC promotes involvement in the legislative process by offering a means to collaborate and negotiate with legislators while educating policymakers about the single-family and small multi-family rental housing industry. The Colorado Landlord Legislative Coalition aspires to create positive change for those that provide housing for others and in turn the renters of Colorado.
